Additive Manufacturing
Additive Manufacturing is the process of creating, building or printing parts, models or prototypes with the addition of material, layer upon layer. It uses support material where required which is then removed after the part is printed. There are several types of additive manufacturing technologies such as ZCorp 3D printing, FDM (Fused De[position modelling) Polyjet (Objet Printing), SLS and SLA.
The other type of manufacturing involves the removal of product through cnc machining and milling. In this processĀ it is what is removed that gives you the end product, rather than what is added.
RapidPro specialises in Additive Manufacturing techniques whilst still maintaining the ability to machine parts as required. Below are a few short clips to explain some of our most popular processes.
